Aesthetic Issues
Aesthetic or cosmetic dentistry encompasses everything from simple tooth whitening to ceramic restorations.

Select your issue
Aesthetic dentistry encompasses any treatment that improves the colour, shape and/or position of the teeth. It is, in essence, a treatment continuum, and where you are on that journey is entirely based on your desires and motivations.
At iHeart Smiles, we've put together a series of packages that can be tailored to the individual patient's needs. Starting off with a smile rejuvenation, involving cleaning, polishing and bleaching your teeth and possibly some injectables, we can move on to the social six for those who'd like the front smiling teeth restored, and onto the perfect ten for that perfect smile. Beyond that, if we have lost a function, have damaged or missing teeth we can elect to move on to an aesthetic reconstruction. The good news is that any of these results can be delivered independently or over time, or if need be, done in as little as two visits.
If the main issue is the alignment of the teeth, but the shape and colour are okay, then we might elect to use clear aligners to move your teeth to a better position. Clear aligners are like invisible braces that slip over your teeth to reposition them. This process can take a few months or more, but it is a very convenient and conservative way to improve the alignment of your smiling teeth.
In other instances, the teeth are badly broken down from grinding or bruxing, or perhaps due to the failure of previous dentistry or diet and hygiene-related issues. If there are a number of teeth lost or an extreme amount of tooth destruction, then an aesthetic reconstruction could be the preferred option. As we go to restore function, form will follow function.
Our patients are in control of their own journey. We're here to serve them and deliver the results they desire. What is important is that as we design your tailored treatment plan, we ensure that all options are kept open as you move through your treatment journey.
Whitening, Veneers or a Simple Clean? Finding the Right Solution for Discolouration
Sometimes, if there are only colour-related issues due to to superficial staining, tooth whitening could be as effective as anything else. This can be done in the clinic in one visit or with take-home bleaching kits over time. If the discolouration is more severe or caused during development, then covering the front surface of the tooth with resin or ceramic (veneers) may be the preferred option.
In some cases, a thorough professional clean may be all that’s needed to improve the issue. If you're unsure where to start, feel free to contact us, we’re always happy to assess your smile and guide you in the right direction.

Restoring What’s Missing: Rebuilding Form, Function and Aesthetics
Broken or missing teeth can be restored or replaced using resin, ceramic restorations, crowns, bridges or implants. When rebuilding these teeth, it’s important to create an environment that supports long-term success. Teeth function as a team, so restoring proper function often means enhancing the neighbouring teeth as well. In doing so, we’re not just restoring structure, we’re also naturally improving the appearance of your smile along the way.
Broken or Missing Teeth?
Designing Your Ideal Smile with the Social Six or Perfect Ten
When the front teeth are worn down, we may use all ceramic restorations to create a natural looking, confident smile. This approach gives us full control over the length, shape and colour of each tooth. If we are focusing on just the front six teeth visible when you smile, we call this a Social Six smile makeover. If the goal is to restore all the teeth visible in a broad smile, we often treat the front ten teeth. This is known as the Perfect Ten, and it delivers that unmistakable, quietly confident look.

Refining the Smile with Ceramic Restorations
When the front teeth are damaged, misshapen or crooked, we may recommend all ceramic restorations to create a balanced and natural looking smile. This gives us full control over the shape, colour and position of each tooth. If we are restoring just the front six teeth that show when you smile, we call this a Social Six smile makeover. For a fuller result that includes all teeth visible in a broad smile, we may treat the front ten teeth. This is known as the Perfect Ten smile makeover, delivering that unmistakable, quietly confident look.
