Fillings, Crowns & Root Canal Treatment
Where an individual tooth is causing concerns with pain, function and aesthetics, we can treat that tooth with fillings, root fillings, all ceramic restorations or crowns.

Treating Individual Teeth
If it is individual teeth that need to be restored, then we can use white plastic fillings if the damage is reasonably small or if there is more damage to the teeth, we may recommend using an all-ceramic filling to add more strength to your teeth. To do this, we simply removed the damaged tooth structure and scan the tooth with a digital scanner. With the scan, we can design a new piece of tooth to be milled out of ceramic and bonded back into the tooth. Ceramic is like a white diamond. It is incredibly strong and when bonded to the tooth, can restore the tooth back to its former glory both functionally and aesthetically. It is like the tooth was never damaged.
If the tooth has become infected, we may need to do root canal therapy to remove the infection from inside the tooth before we restore it. If the tooth is severely damaged, then we may elect to do a crown, which covers the whole tooth with milled ceramic. Modern technology means that crowns are not needed as much as they once were, and most times we can do an all-ceramic filling, which is lower in cost, requires less cutting of the tooth and is just as successful as a crown, saving time, tooth structure and money.

Restoring Balance: Fillings & Root Canals for Function
Functional issues often arise when teeth are worn down, cracked, or misaligned, whether due to jaw development, grinding, or decay. These issues can quietly disrupt the way your bite works, leading to difficulties with chewing, speaking, or even jaw comfort. Fillings and root canal treatment aren’t just about fixing holes or infections, they’re often the first step in restoring proper form and function. By addressing decay, removing infection, and rebuilding the natural shape of your teeth, we help bring your bite back into balance and support long-term oral stability.

Relief and Repair: Easing Pain with Conservative Care
Ongoing pain, sensitivity, or lifestyle impacts like avoiding certain foods or losing sleep due to discomfort can often trace back to underlying infection, decay, or a breakdown in tooth structure. Root canals and fillings allow us to relieve that pain at the source, conservatively and effectively. Rather than masking symptoms, we treat the root cause while preserving as much of the natural tooth as possible. At iHeart Smiles, our approach always considers the overlap between pain, function, and long-term wellbeing, so you leave not only pain-free, but with a smile that works for your life.
A Simple Fix That Made All the Difference

Actual Patient
This patient came to us with a single front tooth that had darkened over time after a root canal. It was a small detail, but for her, it stood out every time she looked in the mirror or smiled in a photo.
The good news? The fix was simple and effective. We began by gently whitening the surrounding teeth to create a brighter, more even base. Then, we placed a single custom veneer to match, bringing everything back into harmony.
With just a few subtle changes, her smile was back to looking natural and balanced, without the worry of one tooth drawing all the attention.
